My new voice transcription AI kept typing 'soup' instead of 'supervised learning' during a client demo.
I had to explain to the CEO of a Chicago tech firm that our model wasn't, in fact, trained on a dataset of broth recipes.

Wait, you had to explain that to the CEO? That's the part that gets me. The AI messing up is one thing, but the fact that the head of a tech company needed the difference between soup and supervised learning spelled out is wild. That meeting must have been painfully awkward. I hope you got paid extra for that demo.

Honestly it shows a weird gap that happens a lot now. People get to the top by selling a vision or raising money, not by knowing how the stuff actually works. You see it with bosses who don't get basic tech, or landlords who have no clue about plumbing. It creates this layer of people making big calls on things they barely understand, and everyone else has to work around it. That demo felt like just another day of filling in those knowledge gaps for someone who should already know.
