Spent an afternoon trying to get into an old grain silo... that took 4 hours.
There's this abandoned grain elevator out by the old rail line near Denton. I figured I could just climb a ladder up the side, but the bottom rung was missing and the rest were rusted clean off. Ended up walking the whole perimeter three times before I found a loose panel on the back side. Has anyone else had a simple plan turn into an all-day thing?

Four hours for a loose panel? That seems like overkill unless you were documenting every step for a YouTube video. Most folks I know would have spotted that on the first walk around and been done in twenty minutes. Maybe next time bring a friend so one of you can lift the other up instead of making a whole afternoon out of it.

Yeah @rose_hart31, you're probably right that I overcomplicated it. But honestly, I feel like that's just how simple plans go sometimes you start with one idea and end up chasing down every little problem before you get anywhere. It's like when you try to fix a loose doorknob and an hour later you're rebuilding the whole frame.
