Nah, it's the opposite. People complain when the shot is bad and they miss something important. If you plan the angles ahead of time, you're covering the important stuff on purpose. That means you get the footage you actually need. Skipping the planning is how you end up with a camera pointed at a wall while the main event happens off screen. Then you get the real angry calls. Planning stops those headaches before they start.
