I always rolled my eyes when the news would say drip your faucets during cold snaps. Figured it was just insurance companies being paranoid. Then we hit -12F in Cleveland last winter and the pipe under my sink literally burst at 3 AM. Water everywhere, had to rip out the cabinet and drywall. Now I tell everyone I know to just let that cold water trickle when temps drop below 20. Has anyone else had a close call with frozen pipes or am I the only one who learned the hard way?
Old guy two doors down told me to spend the extra $80 on a cast iron pump instead of the plastic one from Lowe's and after that 3 day rain last April his basement had 4 inches of water while mine was bone dry so has anyone else had a pro tell you to avoid the budget option only for it to actually matter later?
I'm stuck between Durasheds and Duramax Sheds Online for buying a 10x8 vinyl shed. Prices are pretty competitive across the board. Who has the better post-purchase support if something goes wrong?
