I used to think mood boards were a waste of time...
For a project last month, I forced myself to make one in Figma before starting any real design work. I pulled in about 20 images, color swatches, and font samples. Having it all in one place actually made picking a direction way faster and stopped me from changing my mind every five minutes. Has anyone else had a project where a mood board really saved the day?

Actually, I wouldn't call that a mood board saving the day, more like it just did its job. That's what they're for. It sounds like you finally used the tool the right way, which is to make a choice and stick with it. Before, you were probably just looking at loose pictures without a real plan. What made you decide to finally give it a real try?

Wait, is a mood board really that deep, @river_hart18? It's just pictures on a screen.

Last week I had 37 tabs open for a single living room project. It was just a mess of beige pillows and random art prints. I finally sat down and forced myself to pick only five pictures that actually went together, not just ones I liked alone. The difference was having to ask "does this blue match that rug" for every single item. What was your breaking point with the loose pictures?
