Totally! Fast cooling makes glass brittle, I’ve seen so many pieces crack from rushing it.

Why do I always think I can cheat the cooling process? Last summer, I made a simple vase and got impatient waiting for it to anneal. I figured a quick chill in the fridge would be fine, but nope, it developed a huge crack right down the middle. Now I've got a bunch of 'artisanal' cracked pottery that's basically useless. Sometimes I wonder if my lack of patience is why I can't have nice things...
