Spent $150 on a new glory hole door and it's a total game changer

My old door was just a piece of scrap steel and it was a pain to open and close, especially with hot glass in hand. I finally bit the bullet and got a proper counterweighted door from a shop in Portland. The difference is insane, I can nudge it open with my elbow now. It feels way safer and I'm not burning my gloves anymore. Anyone have tips for keeping the track clean from punty drips?

Game changer" for a door feels a bit much. It's still just a door.

Ever notice how the right tool just makes the whole job feel safer and easier?

Oh man, I know exactly what you mean. I put off getting a good door for way too long. A little graphite powder on the track works wonders for keeping it smooth.
