I just wasted $60 on a 'smart' light bulb that was a total pain

I bought one of those wifi bulbs last month thinking it would be cool. It took me over an hour to get it connected to my phone, and the app kept crashing. The light would randomly turn off at night, and the color settings were never right. I finally gave up and put my old bulb back in. Has anyone found a smart home gadget that actually works without the hassle?
