Rant: I used to think a basic socket set was enough for everything, but after stripping a bolt on my truck's brake line last winter, I spent $180 on a set of flare nut wrenches. Now I won't touch a brake line without them.

Ever try a little heat before you crank on a stuck flare nut?

But what if it's near a fuel line?

My old mechanic swore by a drop of ATF for frozen brake fittings.
