Appreciation post: My garage is now bright enough for late-night fixes
I used to have trouble seeing in my garage after dark. Got some basic LED shop lights on a good deal. Put them up over the weekend with just a ladder and a drill. Now I can actually see what I'm doing on evening projects. What kind of lights do you all use in your shops?

A buddy told me motion sensor lights are handy for garages. Saves you from fumbling for switches with your hands full. Been meaning to try that.

Ever had them turn off mid-project? That's the real headache. I'd rather just flip a switch and be done with it.

Honestly, motion sensors sound like a hassle waiting to happen. You'll be under the car focused on a bolt and suddenly the lights go dark because you didn't move enough. Then you're waving your arms around like an idiot instead of getting work done. I'd rather just hit a switch and know the lights will stay on until I turn them off. Tbh a basic switch is way more reliable for actually getting things fixed.
