My roommate saw my fridge after a 'creative' dinner attempt and just stared for a full minute.
Okay, so picture this: my fridge currently has a half-empty jar of pickles, a single tortilla, a bowl of leftover plain rice, a squeeze bottle of chocolate syrup, and a packet of soy sauce. My roommate, Alex, opened the door yesterday, looked at it, and slowly closed it. He turned to me and said, 'I need you to explain the thought process, because I see at least three different meals and none of them go together.' I was trying to make some kind of sweet and savory fried rice thing at 2 AM after my shift. Has anyone else ever combined ingredients that made someone question your sanity?

Oh man, that reminds me of my friend Sam's kitchen disaster last month... he tried to make a "pizza" using waffles as the crust, canned tuna, and strawberry jam. His girlfriend walked in and just said "absolutely not" and ordered them a real pizza. He was so sure the sweet and salty thing would work.
