That $30 Record Store Blind Box set me back $60 in wasted cash

I bought a grab bag of 10 old albums from a shop in Nashville for $30, but every single one was warped or scratched and unplayable, has anyone else gotten burned on those mystery bundles?

Those 10 packs sitting in the corner of my shop used to look like a fun gamble to me, but after grabbing one for kicks last month I ended up with three albums that were just surface noise and a copy of a Fleetwood Mac record that skips on every track. I paid $25 thinking I'd score some hidden gems, but now I realize it's basically paying someone to unload their trash. You ever notice how the record store guys never post what's actually in those bundles?

Three albums with nothing but surface noise and a Fleetwood Mac record that skips? That's rough, but man, $25 for ten records is like two bucks and change each. You kind of gotta expect some duds at that price point. I've grabbed those mystery bundles before and yeah, you get some junk, but I've also pulled out some beat-up old classics that cleaned up fine. Maybe your shop just has a real bad pile, but I don't think it's some conspiracy where they're hiding stuff. They probably just dump whatever's been sitting in a basement for years and call it a day.
