Why do some vinyl planks snap together so easy?
Just installed different vinyl planks and one clicked in super easy. What makes some lock better than others?

You mentioned some snap together easy, and that's often about the locking profile shape. Some designs have a gentle angle that guides the planks together without much force. The vinyl's flexibility also helps, as softer planks can bend slightly to click into place. Really precise factory cuts make a big difference too, giving a snug fit right away.

Exactly, subfloor prep matters too for that smooth click.

Honestly I've still needed a rubber mallet with those gentle angles! Maybe some brands are better than others.
