Forum admins seem to be cracking down on off-topic threads more than ever.
I've noticed admins locking threads that aren't strictly about finance. Is there a forum out there that allows more casual discussion alongside the serious stuff?

Look at how real connections form online. Those off-topic threads let people share personal wins and struggles, which builds REAL community. Finance talk can be intimidating, and a friendly space lowers the barrier to entry. Over-moderation kills the human element that makes forums worth visiting. Allowing some casual talk doesn't hurt the serious discussions, it actually SUPPORTS them. The best forums I've seen mix both without letting either side take over.

Locking casual threads kills the vibe. People need to connect over small stuff to feel comfortable with the big topics. A dead forum is way worse than a slightly messy one.

See it as necessary moderation actually. Tight forums keep the signal high and the noise low. Lets the finance discussions stay focused.
