My brother-in-law told me to ferment my hot sauce in the garage during a Texas summer

He swore the heat would speed things up, so I left my jar of peppers out there for a week. Came back to a truly explosive mess and a smell that still haunts my garage in Dallas. Has anyone else had a fermentation go totally sideways because of bad location advice?

Ruby, cleanup depends if the water froze before they got to it.
