Unpopular opinion: Pre-assembled fence panels are a headache on sloped yards
Last week, I had a job on a backyard with a slight slope (nothing crazy, but enough to mess things up). We put in those pre-built wood panels, but each one needed trimming or shimming to fit right. It added hours to the install, and the client was getting antsy by the end. I'm starting to think custom cutting on site is worth the extra effort, even for simple runs. What do you all do when the ground isn't flat? Any tricks to speed this up?

Just wait until you hit a real slope. Those panel gaps end up looking like a toddler stacked them.

Actually, real slopes aren't usually that extreme. But yeah, the gaps do stand out more on any kind of incline.

Saw a video where a steep driveway made the gaps look huge.
