Warning: My old way of doing extractions left clients with more redness than I liked

For years, I used a direct pressure technique with my fingers, but after a client in Denver said her skin stayed irritated for two full days, I switched to using a sterile lancet first for any closed comedones. The change cut my average post-treatment redness time down from about 36 hours to under 12. Has anyone else made a specific tool switch that improved client comfort this much?

Well that's a bit like saying someone just got better at cooking because they stopped using a blowtorch to make toast. The right tool makes the job, plain and simple. Uma_lopez might have a point about skill, but poking a closed pore with a clean lancet beats mashing it with your fingers every time. It's less force on the skin, so of course there's less damage. Some folks just hate to admit that a ten dollar box of tools can beat years of doing things the hard way.
