My buddy in dental school used to call his old extraction style the "caveman method." That client's reaction must have been pretty wild to make you slow down. Honestly, switching to a gentler approach just sounds like good sense to me. Less chance of anything going wrong, and the patient probably feels a whole lot better after. I bet your hands are thanking you for the change too. It's funny how one tough experience can completely flip your whole process.
