Shoutout to the old-timer who showed me a better way to pull wire
I used to fight with 12/2 Romex in tight stud bays, especially on a rewire job in a 1920s house in Portland. An old journeyman named Frank saw me struggling and handed me his Klein fish tape with the little plastic tip. He said, 'Bend the tip about 30 degrees, it'll steer around the fire blocks.' Tried it on the next run and it went through on the first try. What's your go-to trick for a tough pull in an old house?

Ever try pulling with a shop vac? It's a game changer for old plaster dust.
