Appreciation post: My old Fluke 87V finally gave up the ghost after 15 years on the job.

The display just went blank mid-check on a service call yesterday, so I guess it's time to finally see what the newer models are like... what's your go-to meter these days?

What's the actual failure mode on your 87V, just the display or something internal?

Man, that's a solid run though. Honestly, my gear tends to have a much shorter life expectancy. I'm on a first-name basis with the warranty department at one tool company because I keep dropping my meter off ladders. Pretty sure my last one died because I got a little too much coffee inside it.
