Been fighting with nail gun jams for years but swapping to collated screws changed everything last Tuesday

I used to spend half my day fighting a cheap Paslode that jammed every 20 nails, but after a deck job in St. Albert last month I gave collated screws a try and I haven't touched the nailer since - anyone else get tired of chasing jams on rentals?

Fighting with nail gun jams for years" that's exactly where I was at. I switched over after a buddy let me borrow his collated screw gun for a fence repair and it was way smoother than I expected. Haven't looked back since, even sold my old brad nailer.

Kept fighting with my old Paslode for months thinking I just got a bad batch of nails or something. Swapped to a collated screw gun for a deck project last summer and it was night and day. No more clearing jams every third board and the screws actually hold tight without splitting the wood. The real kicker was when I had to do some trim work and the screw gun handled that too without busting the edges off. Still got my old framing nailer in the shed but honestly can't remember the last time I touched it.
