Switched from manual sanding to a dustless system and I'm never going back
I've been hanging and finishing drywall for about 12 years now, always used a pole sander with paper. Last month I finally bought a Mirka LEROS sander with a vac setup. The difference in dust control alone at a job near Portland made me wonder why I waited so long. Anyone else made the switch and feel the same way?

Hold on, are we really acting like a sander is a life-or-death thing? I've been using the same cheap one for like four years without a mask half the time and my lungs are fine. I mean yeah, dust is bad and you should probably wear a respirator, but saying your lungs "thank you every day" sounds like you were sanding radioactive asbestos before. It's a sander, not a chemical weapon. Unless you're doing it in your living room without ventilation, I think you'll survive.
