Warning: Old charts cost me a cutter head last season

I used to skip updating my navigation maps for quick jobs. Hitting a hidden wreck proved how wrong that was, with big downtime and costs. What do you do to check for new hazards?

Wait, how much for the prop? That's more than my whole yearly maintenance budget just gone.

Honestly, after my last prop hit, I had to eat ramen for a month. I was so sure I remembered that channel, but nope, a new sandbar had other plans. The repair bill was ABSOLUTELY insane, like halfway to a down payment on a house. Now I check the charts like my life depends on it, which it kinda does. It's a tough lesson that makes you respect the water way more. Still cringe every time I hear that 'clunk' sound in my dreams.

Yeah, that "hidden wreck" thing is no joke. Learned the same lesson when a shifted shoal ate a prop. That $15k bill made me a believer in weekly chart checks now.
