Switched from digital to scale drawings on a big site job this week

I've been doing all my drafting on a tablet for the last two years, but a plumber on a commercial build in Austin handed me a redlined paper set and I had to pull out my old straightedge. The whole thing clicked way faster for me no lag or zoom issues and I got the revisions done in half the usual time. Has anyone else found a certain method just works better for certain types of projects?

Plumber handed me a set of redlines once and I was frankly relieved. There's something about a big dirty paper set spread across a tailgate that just makes sense. No thumb cramps from pinch-zooming around a three story mechanical plan. The lack of interface between you and the work is a real thing. Happy to hear it clicked for you too, nothing beats the old tools when the project gets serious.

Paper and scale rule still beats a screen for big layout changes.
