Found a cheat with drywall tape on inside corners

Used to fight with paper tape bubbling up on me every time. Switched to mesh tape with hot mud and it just works. Anyone else ditch paper tape for good?

Went all in on mesh tape and hot mud about two years ago after watching a buddy do a whole basement in a day without a single bubble. I mean, paper tape has its place maybe on flat seams with all-purpose, but inside corners drove me nuts too. Started using 45 minute hot mud for that stuff and it sets so fast you can move on right away. The mesh catches the mud better in my opinion without that annoying fold line you get with paper. Only downside is it's rougher to sand if you mess up but honestly I haven't had to redo a corner since.

Funny enough, I switched to mesh tape after my dog chewed through a roll of paper tape I left on the floor. Figured I'd try the mesh since I had to buy new stuff anyway. Never looked back.
