Acrylic or aluminum side panel for my Corsair 4000D build
I spent three hours staring at my case trying to decide between a clear acrylic window and a brushed aluminum panel. Went with the acrylic because I wanted to show off my cable management, but now two months later it's already scratched from dusting. Anyone else regret skipping the metal option?

My dusting cloth basically took a cheese grater to that acrylic panel the first week, it's a total mess now. Got a little too aggressive with the microfiber and now it looks like a cat used it as a scratching post. Honestly thinking about just ordering the aluminum panel from Corsair and swapping it out, at least that won't show every single fingerprint and dust streak. Kinda feel like acrylic is only good if you never plan to touch your case again after building it.

Fiona, sounds like you learned the hard way what I found out years ago - acrylic and microfiber are enemies, not friends. I'd say go for the aluminum swap, at least that way you can actually look at your PC without seeing a battle scar from that one time you sneezed while dusting.
