Showerthought: I hit 100 paintings for my living room renovation and it finally clicked
I painted 100 test swatches on my wall trying to match trim to wall color, and that number hit me hard. It took me 3 hours of mixing samples at the hardware store, but now the whole room looks like a pro did it. Anyone else get obsessed with tiny details like that?

Ah man, I totally get that. I spent a solid weekend once just mixing and matching paint chips on my bathroom wall trying to get the exact off-white shade for the ceiling. It's crazy how those little details can eat up your whole day, but when it finally comes together it's so worth it. Three hours of mixing samples sounds like a lot, but honestly that's the kind of patience that makes a room look like it was done by someone who actually knows what they're doing. Good on you for sticking it out, that's a real pro move.

Started painting my whole kitchen trim with a small brush just to match the cabinets perfectly.

Build on that patience thing though, once you get in that zone of mixing and matching you start seeing undertones and color shifts nobody else would ever notice. Isn't it wild how a room can feel completely different just from getting that one shade exactly right?
