My $30 angle grinder finally died after 7 years of abuse

I picked up this cheap Chicago Electric grinder from Harbor Freight back in 2017 for a deck refinishing job. Used it to cut tiles, grind down welds on a gate repair, and even stripped paint off old furniture with it. Last weekend I was cutting some rebar for a concrete patch in my driveway and it just started smoking and quit. Got 7 solid years out of a $30 tool which is way more than I expected. Anyone else have a cheap tool that just wouldn't die until it finally did?

Buddy of mine had his favorite tape measure snap on him last week during a kitchen remodel. Thing was older than his marriage, must have measured a thousand cuts before that final one.
