Finally conquered my messy garage after putting it off for ages.
Having a clear floor to work on is a total game-changer.

What was the hardest part to sort through? I used to just shove things in mine and shut the door, but having a clean space to actually use for projects made me see the whole point of a garage differently. I even found my old bike pump I thought was gone for good.

Tackle the random cables and half used paint cans lol. That "maybe someday" junk really gets you. It feels less like cleaning and more like arguing with your past self about why you kept broken things. But man, when you finally let it go, the clear floor is just a bonus. The real win is the quiet in your head from not seeing that pile of guilt every day.

Yeah, when vera501 mentioned sorting through stuff, that hit home. For me, the worst was all the old hardware and nails. I had jars of random screws and bolts from who knows what projects. Honestly, I just got a bunch of small containers and sorted them by type. Tbh, if you haven't used it in a year, you probably never will. Ngl, throwing out broken power tools felt brutal, but now I can actually find my good drill.
