And then the damn cartridge was the wrong size, classic.

Man, that's a painful one. I been there with a kitchen faucet that turned into a whole weekend, so I feel your frustration. @ruby_grant nailed it too, the wrong cartridge is the worst because you already got everything tore apart and the store's about to close. It's always the little plastic piece that fights you more than the whole dang valve.
