My neighbor's one comment changed how I hang drywall forever
After 15 years of hanging drywall solo, my neighbor watched me struggle with a ceiling panel and said "you're fighting the board, not carrying it." I switched to a drywall lift I borrowed from him for $0 and now I finish a 12x12 room in one afternoon instead of two weekends. Has anyone else had a random piece of advice completely rework their process?

Wait, is renting a lift really gonna change how you work, or just make you rely on something bigger than your own skills? I mean, hand hanging keeps you sharp and honest with yourself, plus you can't exactly haul a lift up a tight stairwell on every job.
