Ceramic disc cap in the tone stack gave my 5E3 a weird sparkle

Swapped a 0.1uF poly for a ceramic disc in the tone stack on a whim last weekend and it added this fizzy top end that actually sounds killer for garage rock. Anyone else get lucky with a random part swap like this or did I just stumble into placebo territory lol

I read somewhere that old Fenders used ceramic discs in some positions and people chase that sound for years. The way ceramics can add that gritty upper harmonic thing is pretty well documented in the amp forums, sounds like you stumbled onto the good side of it. If it makes you smile when you crank it, that's all that matters, placebo or not.
