My brother said the whole 'work from the beach' thing is a fantasy
We were on a video call last week and he asked how my 'permanent vacation' was going. I told him I was in Split, Croatia, grinding on a client report. He said, 'You're just paying to work somewhere less comfortable.' That stuck with me because my internet cut out twice that day at the cafe. Maybe the Instagram version skips the bad wifi and timezone calls at 2 AM. Does anyone else feel like they're just trading one set of office problems for another?

I was all about that life until my laptop died in a hostel with no tech shop for miles.

Read a blog post about how that exact situation makes people rethink digital nomad life. It sounds like a real nightmare, @sanchez.mia, being stuck without a way to work. Makes a strong case for always having a backup plan, even if it's just a cheap tablet.
