Just hit 100 different coffee shops worked from in the last year
I was looking at my notes from the past 12 months and counted them up, and it's exactly 100 different cafes from Lisbon to Chiang Mai. The funny part is I can barely remember half of them, just a blur of wifi passwords and awkward bathroom key requests. The milestone that really got me was realizing I've spent over $1,200 on coffee and pastries just to have a place to sit, which is kind of wild when you think about it. My most vivid memory is from a place in Mexico City where the barista handed me a tiny cup of water with my latte and said, 'For the laptop, not for you,' because it was overheating on the table, lol. It matters because it shows how much this lifestyle is built on these little third spaces, and how temporary they all feel. Has anyone else tracked a number that made you pause and laugh at the routine of it all?

A hundred cafes sounds like a special kind of chaos. That's a lot of overhead for the vibe. I just rotate between the same three spots near my apartment; my biggest win was when the owner at one started remembering my usual order. Feels less like a transaction that way.

Sounds like you're funding a small country's coffee economy, unlike cole_bailey85 and his three loyal spots.
