Honestly, a client in Medellin told me my work setup was too loud for calls

Tbh, I was working from a cafe there last month and a client straight up said my background noise was distracting. I was using the built-in mic on my laptop. I switched to a Rode NT-USB Mini mic and it made a huge difference, even in busy spots. Has anyone else found a good portable mic that doesn't take up much bag space?

Remember when I tried recording a podcast in my kitchen. The fridge motor kicked on every five minutes (sounded like a distant lawnmower). Ended up buying one of those little fuzzy wind screens for my phone mic, which helped a bit, but not for the fridge.

My old Blue Yeti Nano was a lifesaver for that exact problem.

Wait, the fridge sounded like a lawnmower? @the_amy, that's wild! I would have just given up and ordered pizza.
