A heads up about using that new co-living space in Medellin
I booked a month at a co-living spot in Medellin that looked perfect online, with a rooftop and fast wifi. After two days, the power started cutting out for hours at a time, right in the middle of my work day. The manager just shrugged and said it was a city issue, but other buildings on the street had no problems. I lost a client call and had to scramble to a cafe, which cost me about $50 in extra food and drinks that week. The lesson for me was to always ask about backup power and recent outages before I book a place, not just look at the photos. Has anyone else had a similar problem in a place that seemed totally set up for remote work?

City issue" sounds like a cheap excuse, right?

Depends what they mean by city issue, @margaret_bennett3. Sometimes it's a real problem with permits or old pipes. Could just be a way to avoid giving a straight answer though.
