The ad account spent $800 before I caught the broken tracking code

Last Tuesday I ran a Facebook campaign for a rental property and the pixel stopped firing after a theme update. Eight hundred dollars gone on clicks from people who never saw the landing page. Support said check the conversion events, which took me 4 hours to trace back to a plugin conflict. How often do you audit your pixels? I check mine weekly now, but that week cost me. Has anyone else gotten burned by a silent tracking break? What do you use to catch it faster?

Silent pixel deaths are just the universe's way of charging us for lessons.

Went from checking my pixel once a month to every other day after a similar burn. I used to think that once the tracking was set up right, it would just keep working. Then a WordPress update quietly killed mine and I blew through $600 on ads that all showed as conversions because the pixel was firing on the thank you page but not the actual landing page. The data looked fine, which was the sneaky part. Now I run a free test click every morning and check the real-time events in the dashboard. It takes two minutes and it's saved me way more than that in wasted spend.
