Spent $800 on a fancy SEO tool and got worse results than free stuff

I got talked into buying this premium SEO tool last year by some big name marketer on a webinar. It promised all these advanced features like keyword gap analysis and competitor tracking. But after six months of using it, my organic traffic actually dropped by 15 percent. Turns out the tool was flagging fake issues and telling me to fix things that weren't broken. I switched back to Google's free tools and a simple spreadsheet and my rankings came back in two months. Anyone else have a tool that just wasted your budget and time?

Yeah, "which specific tool" is the real question here. I tried a popular one last year and it completely messed up my system, so knowing the name could save someone a headache.
