Small win on a road trip - spotted a local biz killing it with a simple sign

I drove through Asheville, NC last weekend and noticed this tiny coffee shop had a sandwich board on the sidewalk that just said "Try our cold brew - it's better than your car's AC." That one line made me stop and buy one lol. It got me thinking about how a cheap, clever sign can pull more foot traffic than a $500 Facebook ad. Has anyone else seen a random local spot win with a low-effort marketing trick?

That "better than your car's AC" line is exactly the kind of thing that makes you smile and pull over. My friend back in Oregon told me about a taco truck near her work that had a sign reading "Our salsa makes you forget your ex" and she said people lined up to take pictures of it. It just goes to show that a funny sign (if it fits the vibe) can do way more than a boring ad ever could.

Wait, did your friend in Oregon say that taco truck's sign was in Portland? I've actually seen that same taco truck in Seattle with a sign saying something about getting over your ex lol. Unless there's two of them running the same bit. Either way, that cold brew sign is pure gold though.
