My auto-reply bot cost me a client after it sent the wrong message

I set up a chatbot on my site last Tuesday to handle after-hours queries, but it accidentally replied to a lead asking about pricing with a complaint template about shipping delays. By the time I caught it the next morning, they'd already signed with a competitor. Anyone else had a bot go rogue and mess up a deal?

Did you read that article about the bot that started sending weird replies to customers at 3 AM? @loganhart might be right about testing, but sometimes even tested stuff goes sideways once it's live.

Oh man, did your bot accidentally send a complaint template? That's brutal. I had a similar thing happen with my online shop's autoresponder, it sent a "we're sorry for the delay" message to a customer who hadn't even ordered yet (like a total glitch in the system). The person got super confused and cancelled their big custom order before I could explain, and I lost about $400 just because the bot picked the wrong script to fire off.

Nah, that's on you for not testing it first though.
