Just swapped Mailchimp for ConvertKit on my newsletter

I was spending $89 a month on Mailchimp but only had 600 subs, so I finally jumped to ConvertKit's free plan last week. It took me about 2 hours to migrate all my forms and tags over, and now I get way better open rates for some reason. Has anyone else made a switch like this and seen a difference in engagement?

Oh wait, I don't think that's quite right about the open rates! ConvertKit and Mailchimp count opens differently - ConvertKit counts a single subscriber opening the same email multiple times as one open, while Mailchimp counts every single open separately. So your numbers might look better but they're actually measuring different things. I made the same switch last year and got all excited about my higher rates until I realized this. You're probably still saving money though, and the free plan is way better for small lists. Just don't base all your decisions on that one metric.

Totally agree, I saw the same open rate bump and got confused too.
