FB ads manager glitched and charged me $400 for a paused campaign

Logged in Tuesday morning to check my weekly numbers and saw a $400 charge on my card. Campaign had been paused since Friday. Spent 2 hours on support chat and they kept saying it was a 'billing system delay' but couldn't explain why it ran at all. Finally got a refund after threatening to dispute, but lost a whole afternoon of work. Has anyone else had weird charges like this from Meta lately?

My buddy Dave runs a small bakery and had almost the same thing happen last September. He had a campaign paused for a week while he was tweaking his website, and then boom, $600 charge showed up out of nowhere. He spent three days going back and forth with support before they finally admitted it was their system error and refunded him. The worst part was they never really explained why it happened, just kept saying it was "processed before the pause went through." He said it made him lose trust in the whole platform.

And the frustrating thing is, once you lose that trust it's really hard to get it back. A small business like that can't afford to have $600 tied up for days while they fight with support over something that was clearly the platform's fault.
