Vent: My entire Procreate gallery got corrupted on Tuesday

I was finishing a big piece for a local show and my iPad just froze, then rebooted to a blank gallery. I lost about 15 hours of work on that piece and a bunch of other sketches. Has anyone managed to recover files after something like this?

Ugh that's the actual worst feeling, my stomach dropped just reading this. First thing, check if you had iCloud backup turned on for Procreate in the iPad settings. If you did, you might be able to get an older version back. Also, plug the iPad into a computer and see if the files show up in iTunes or Finder, sometimes they're still hiding in there. I had a similar scare and managed to pull a file out that way. Really hope you can salvage something.

Used to think cloud backup was overkill but losing my own files changed my mind fast.
