Switched from Wacom to a $50 used iPad with Procreate, huge difference for me
I drew on a Wacom Intuos for about 6 years, mostly line art and comic pages. Last month a friend sold me their old iPad 7th gen for $50 because the battery life is bad. I plugged it in and downloaded Procreate after using Krita on the desktop for so long. The screen response is way more natural, no more hand-eye disconnect. My line work got cleaner in about 2 weeks, which surprised me. Has anyone else made the jump to a tablet with a screen and gone back to a pad?
Did you find the screen really does fix that weird disconnect feeling? I did the exact same thing last year, traded my old pad for a beat-up Galaxy tab and never looked back. My lines got steadier almost immediately, and now I can't even imagine going back to drawing blind.
