My rig broke down in Utah, engine light flashing. Advice on mobile mechanics?

Was hauling a load to California. Suddenly, the dash lit up with warnings. Managed to coast into a rest area. No cell service for miles. What initial checks can I make while waiting for assistance?

Hey, something folks forget is to check the battery terminals for corrosion, especially after long hauls. Had a similar scare once where it was just a loose ground wire making all the lights go crazy, totally threw me off. If you've got basic tools, give those a tighten and see if the warnings clear after a restart. Also, peek at your coolant and oil levels since overheating can trigger those dash lights too, worth a look while you're stuck.

Wait, you drove around with all your dash lights on because of a loose wire?

Yeah, a bad battery cable did that to me once too.
