Cashier taught me a grocery price match trick I never knew
Last month at the Kroger on 5th Street, this older cashier named Dottie saw me put back a bag of coffee after noticing the shelf price was higher than the weekly ad. She leaned over and whispered that I could just show her the ad on my phone at checkout and she'd match it right there, no manager needed. I tried it with a few items, and she knocked $14.80 off my total in under two minutes. Turns out most stores have a hidden price match policy, but they rarely advertise it at the register. Has anyone else gotten a cashier to do this, or do you have a store that actually posts their match rules clearly?
