That $40 password manager saved my butt after a data leak

Back in March I got an email that my email was in some breach database. I had been using the same password for everything for like 5 years. Paid $40 for a year of Bitwarden premium and spent an afternoon changing all my logins. Has anyone else had their whole setup exposed and had to scramble like that?

Man, that's rough but I'm glad you caught it in time! I've been through something similar and it's such a sinking feeling when you realize you've been using the same password across everything for years. So what's the hardest part about changing all those logins for you? For me it was tracking down all the random accounts I forgot I even had, like old forum accounts and stuff.

Oh man, you hit the nail on the head! I used to think I was being smart by keeping one password for everything. Like, I figured it was easier to remember and honestly I didn't think anyone would bother with my stuff. But after getting that alert about a login attempt on an old account I barely touch, that changed my whole view. Now I'm scrambling to find all those random sites I signed up for years ago too, like some music forum from 2015 and a recipe site I used once. It's a huge pain but way better than getting hacked. Did you end up using a password manager or just writing them all down?
