My pal's joke about reusing passwords turned into a real mess last weekend

Honestly, people act like password reuse is no big deal until it bites them. Ngl, watching him try to explain it to his boss was both funny and a solid lesson.

Totally agree with you @kai327, it's a harsh lesson. My cousin used the same password for his gaming account and his email, and someone got into both. They wiped his game progress and then tried to reset the password for his bank login. He spent a whole weekend on the phone with customer service trying to prove he was himself.

I mean it wasn't really a joke anymore at that point, it was just a bad idea. Still, glad it was a lesson learned.
