PSU fan in the wrong spot killed my whole retro build last Saturday
I spent 4 months fitting a 7800X3D into that old beige Gateway tower from 1998. Everything was hidden, even the front USB ports are fake. Then I fired it up for a LAN party and the CPU hit 90C in 10 minutes. Turns out that case has zero airflow through the front, so the exhaust fan was just recirculating hot air. I had to cut a hole in the top with a jigsaw and now it looks like a toaster. Has anyone else ruined a case's paint job just to get cooling to work?

Three different PCs I've built had the same hidden airflow problem, every single one.
