Update: Found my stack of handwritten prompt lists from a decade ago
Back then, a good prompt came from a weird dream or a overheard conversation, not from a endless scroll online, lol.

Remember when you'd just know strange things about your neighbors without social media. The old man next door kept bees, and for years I thought his constant hum was a bad hearing aid. Turned out he'd talk to the hives every morning, full conversations about the weather and his late wife. Found out because my cat got stung and he brought over a jar of honey as an apology. That whole summer I wrote stories about a beekeeper who could understand what the flowers were saying. Nothing online gave me that, just a weird old guy and a grumpy cat.

My old notebooks are full of that stuff. I found a note about a man with a typewriter made of bees, and I have zero memory of writing it. The ideas felt weirder and more yours back then. Now everything just feels like a copy of a copy from the same five websites.
